Department of Cardiac Surgery It has been operating since 2012. To date, more than 300 open heart surgeries are performed annually using an artificial blood circulation device, as well as coronary artery bypass grafting operations for myocardial infarction in conditions of artificial circulation and on a working heart. Over the past year, the number of operations on the valvular heart apparatus and on the ascending aorta has increased. Emergency operations have been performed repeatedly for acute aortic dissection (acute aortic dissection is a life-threatening diagnosis that requires emergency high-tech surgery). Specialists of our center have used the device of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) for long-term replacement of heart and lung activity. Master classes were repeatedly held with the involvement of foreign specialists and specialists from the republican centers of Nur Sultan and Almaty.
Open heart surgeries are performed in the department:
- Coronary artery bypass grafting (mammarocoronary) in conditions of artificial circulation and on a working heart;
- Prosthetics and reconstruction of the valvular heart apparatus in patients with acquired and congenital heart defects. Reconstruction of the ascending section and the aortic arch.
- Surgical correction of combined heart valve defects and coronary heart disease;
- Surgical correction of congenital heart defects in adult patients;
- Surgical treatment of concomitant atrial fibrillation in patients with coronary heart disease and acquired heart disease;
